Assessment Storage

If you submitted a Notice of Intent to a Colorado school district and are homeschooling under Colorado’s Homeschool Law, you are required to submit assessment results (from a test or evaluation) for your students in their odd grades. (Learn more about testing here.)

You have two options of where to submit your results (which must include a composite score):

The school district that received the notice of intent
OR an independent or parochial school within the state of Colorado that is willing to hold test scores. (If you choose this option, you must then inform the school district that received your notice of intent of the name of the school where the test scores are held.)

The CHEC Independent School is available to store your Colorado homeschool assessment records (test or evaluation results, sometimes referred to as a testing repository or record storage). Complete the form below to get started.

Please note, this only applies if you are homeschooling under Colorado’s Homeschool Law (Notice of Intent), NOT if you are enrolled in the CHEC Independent School.

CHEC Independent School Assessment Storage Policy
I/We understand that the CHEC Independent School is required to report to the State of Colorado a composite test score that falls at or below the 13th percentile or an evaluation that does not indicate progress according to the child’s ability. We further give permission to CHEC to release these test scores or evaluations to the names listed below.
